Proceeds from last year's Harry Chapin Memorial Run Against Hunger supported the Cortlandt Emergency Food Bank and the Croton Caring Committee in Croton-on-Hudson, Caring for the Homeless of Peekskill, the Hillside Food Outreach in Pleasantville, Food Bank for Westchester, WhyHunger (which was co-founded by Harry Chapin), the Carolyn Belshe Orphanage in Cambine, Mozambique, and Mountains of Hope for Haiti.

Sam Colombo,with the help of his wife Karen, has been raising money for the Harry Chapin Memorial Run Against Hunger for more than 18 years. Maybe you've seen him around Croton where he raises funds in the months leading up to the Run. With your help, he's raised more than $117,000 over the years to help fight hunger.
